Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: September 14, 2026
Nain Music aims to provide a fair, transparent, and professional experience for customers, service providers, teachers, and other participants using the platform. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when an order, class, or service may be cancelled, rescheduled, or refunded.
Because Nain Music may provide different types of music services and live classes, refund decisions may depend on the type of service, the stage of the order, work already completed, and the circumstances of the cancellation.
1. General Refund Principle
A refund is not automatically available simply because a customer changes their mind or does not personally like the final creative result, provided the service has been delivered substantially according to the agreed scope.
Nain Music encourages customers and service providers to communicate and attempt to resolve issues before requesting cancellation or a refund.
Where appropriate, Nain Music may consider a revision, correction, rescheduling, partial refund, or full refund depending on the circumstances.
2. Customer Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a customer requests cancellation before the provider has started meaningful work, a refund may be considered.
Once substantial work has already started, the amount refundable may be reduced or the refund may not be available, depending on the work already completed and the circumstances of the cancellation.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Started
Customers should not assume that an order can be cancelled for a full refund after the provider has already spent significant time working on it.
Where work has already been completed partly or substantially, Nain Music may consider the work performed when determining whether a full, partial, or no refund is appropriate.
4. Provider Cancellation or Non-Delivery
If a provider cancels an accepted service without an appropriate reason, fails to deliver the agreed service, or is unable to complete the service within the agreed arrangement, Nain Music may offer the customer:
-
Rescheduling of the service;
-
Assignment to another suitable provider, where available; or
-
A partial or full refund, depending on the circumstances.
5. Mixing & Mastering — IMPORTANT: Source Recording Quality
A good final mix starts with a good source recording.
Customers are responsible for providing the cleanest and highest-quality audio files available. The final quality of mixing and mastering is directly affected by the quality of the original recording and performance.
Customers should provide recordings with suitable levels and, wherever possible, minimal background noise, distortion, clipping, unwanted room sound, microphone bleed, and other technical problems.
Nain Music or the assigned audio professional will apply reasonable professional mixing, editing, tuning, noise reduction, and mastering techniques within the agreed service scope.
However, mixing and mastering cannot magically recreate information that was not captured correctly in the original recording.
For example, if the supplied recording contains:
-
Heavy background or room noise
-
Noise between words
-
Excessive reverb
-
Microphone bleed
-
Distortion or clipping
-
Poor recording quality
-
Significant pitch problems
-
Unwanted sounds already embedded in the recording
-
Other performance or recording defects
these problems may not be completely removable without negatively affecting the original audio.
More processing does not always mean a better result. Excessive noise reduction can damage consonants, breaths, vocal tails, texture, and natural tone. Excessive pitch correction can make a performance sound unnatural or introduce artifacts. Similarly, aggressive processing may damage dynamics or other musical characteristics.
For this reason, a provider may explain that a particular requested correction cannot be taken further without materially damaging the audio and may decline that specific processing request.
The presence of a defect that already exists in the customer's source recording will not, by itself, constitute a failure of the mixing or mastering service, provided reasonable professional processing has been performed within the agreed scope.
Customers should therefore understand:
Â
The better the recording you provide, the better the mixing and mastering professional can make the final result.
6. Revisions for Mixing, Mastering and Other Services
Where revisions are included in a service, they are limited to the agreed service scope and reasonable technical corrections.
Revisions are not unlimited and do not mean that the original recording can be repeatedly altered until every customer preference is achieved.
A revision request should relate to the agreed work and should be technically achievable without unreasonable degradation of the audio or other deliverable.
Requests that require fundamentally different work, additional services, extensive source repair, or processing that would damage the original material may require an additional fee or may be declined.
7. Creative Differences
Music services can involve creative decisions regarding tone, balance, effects, arrangement, vocal treatment, dynamics, or overall sound.
A difference in personal taste does not automatically mean that the service was defective.
Customers should communicate their desired direction and requirements as clearly as possible before or during the service.
Where the delivered work is substantially consistent with the agreed requirements, a refund will not automatically be granted solely because the customer later prefers a different creative direction.
8. Live Music Classes
Nain Music may offer live, topic-specific music classes conducted by independent teachers or professionals.
Because these classes involve scheduled time reserved by the teacher, the following principles apply:
-
If the teacher cancels or fails to attend, the class may be rescheduled or a refund may be considered.
-
If Nain Music or the teacher is unable to provide the agreed class, an appropriate refund or rescheduling option may be offered.
-
A customer who attends the class generally cannot demand a refund merely because they did not like the teacher's teaching style or expected a different learning experience.
-
If a student misses a scheduled class because of their own circumstances, a refund is not automatically guaranteed. Rescheduling may be considered where reasonably possible.
-
Any rescheduling arrangement should be agreed between the relevant parties.
9. Technical Problems During Live Classes
If a significant technical problem prevents the class from being delivered, Nain Music or the teacher may offer a rescheduled class.
Where the class cannot reasonably be provided or rescheduled because of a technical failure attributable to the provider or platform arrangement, a refund may be considered.
Minor interruptions or temporary technical problems that do not prevent the class from being substantially delivered will not automatically qualify for a full refund.
10. Digital or Delivered Work
Once a completed digital deliverable has been provided to the customer, cancellation or refund is not automatically available merely because the customer subsequently changes their mind.
Any issue with the deliverable should first be communicated to the provider so that the issue can be reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected within the agreed scope.
11. Customer-Provided Files and Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, appropriate source files, references, instructions, and other materials required for the service.
Delays or problems caused by missing, incorrect, corrupted, incomplete, or unsuitable customer-provided material may affect delivery and will not automatically qualify the customer for a refund.
12. Partial Refunds
A partial refund may be considered where:
-
Part of a service could not be completed;
-
A provider failed to deliver a substantial portion of the agreed service;
-
Both parties agree to a partial refund; or
-
Nain Music determines that a partial refund is an appropriate resolution after reviewing the circumstances.
A partial refund may be more appropriate than a full refund where meaningful work has already been completed.
13. Disputes Between Customer and Provider
Customers and providers should first attempt to resolve disagreements through direct communication.
If the issue cannot be resolved, Nain Music may review relevant information, which may include:
-
The original order or service scope;
-
Customer requirements;
-
Files supplied;
-
Work delivered;
-
Revision requests;
-
Messages between the parties;
-
Class attendance or cancellation information; and
-
Other relevant circumstances.
Nain Music may then facilitate an appropriate resolution, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the case.
14. Refund Abuse and Chargebacks
Customers must not misuse cancellation, refund, or payment-dispute processes.
A customer should not falsely claim that work was not delivered, intentionally misuse a payment dispute after receiving the agreed service, or repeatedly request refunds for services that were properly provided.
Nain Music may restrict or suspend accounts where there is evidence of serious or repeated abuse, subject to applicable law.
15. Provider Payment and Refund Adjustment
Where Nain Music operates a marketplace arrangement in which a portion of the customer payment is allocated to the service provider and a portion to Nain Music, provider settlement may be subject to successful completion of the relevant service and the applicable payment/settlement process.
If a refund or cancellation is approved, any provider amount relating to the cancelled or refunded portion may be withheld, adjusted, or otherwise handled through the applicable payment and settlement process.
Nain Music will not guarantee a particular settlement timing where it depends on a third-party payment provider, bank, or payment-processing system.
16. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved, the actual time for the money to reach the customer's account may depend on the payment provider, bank, card network, or other payment-processing system.
Nain Music cannot guarantee the exact time taken by a third-party payment provider to complete the refund.
17. Circumstances Outside Nain Music's Control
Nain Music will not automatically be responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to provide a service caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, including serious technical failures, internet outages, platform failures, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
Where reasonably possible, Nain Music may offer rescheduling or another appropriate solution.
18. No Waiver of Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict any rights or remedies that a customer or other user may have under applicable law.
19. Policy Changes
Nain Music may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, marketplace structure, payment systems, or legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on this website with a revised "Last Updated" date.
